Lounge vs Rock (about CD)
"Zoop" is first and foremost an instrumental project that combines different styles of modern music. You can call it "background". But in most cases the listener is most likely to remember it.
However, hidden antipathy wouldn't allow music lovers and experimenters to estimate it in such a superficial way.
Multi-layer structure of this album will lead you to different music styles oddly tied together. They make the whole form unusual without mixing up. As a rhythmical base it certainly has electronic music, funk and rock, sax and bass solos contain some jazz elements, and the atmosphere is provided by the synthesizers that render it calm. But this feeling is imaginary, the music is not calm. Just turn it on loud as if you re listening to rock.
This style can be characterized as post-lounge: awaking, first emotions and of course hidden energy.
